The 57th Street and Greenwood speed table was design to provide a safe pedestrian crossing from across 57th Street. Prior to design drawings TERRA performed a study to determine the feasibility and traffic impact study of placing a raised pedestrian crossing in this location.

The raised brick paver speed table will improve the pedestrian traffic and provide a prominent connection from the north campus to the main quad, south of 57th Street. TERRA provided pavement design, grading and drainage and utility coordination for the project. Paving patterns were studied to ensure the continuous joint patterning of the pavers were set perpendicular to the flow of traffic, providing the most stable pavement section.
