Loyola University Medical Center (LUMC), a 567-bed teaching hospital, has been a client of TERRA’s for many years. Recent projects have included a master site plan, emergency facility, cancer research / ambulatory care center and an education building.

The Cancer Research Center is a new four-story structure located on the south end of the 65-acre campus. The facility includes clinical, educational and administrative areas. The Education Building is a new four-story building in the central campus. The building houses extensive teaching and laboratory rooms.

TERRA provided all site development documents for the four buildings as well as providing construction documents for new utility lines, new site roads and several new parking lots.

TERRA designed the site utility networks, site and parking lots grading, drainage and dimension control, roadway cross-sections, site details and specifications. TERRA worked closely with the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District (MWRD) and other governmental agencies to obtain permits for the site work, utility relocations and other site related projects.

TERRA provided construction observation for the various projects as well as construction management assistance to the architects and the owner.
