TERRA provided civil and site engineering consulting services as part of a campuswide assessment for Mount Sinai Hospital’s master expansion. The scope involved renovations to multiple buildings, upgraded utilities and new construction.
The assessment included pavement condition, ADA accessibility, utility condition and viability, analysis of public infrastructure extension and stormwater detention requirements. TERRA performed preliminary stormwater detention analysis for the sites in adherence to the City of Chicago’s stormwater ordinance. Recommendations were provided to detain stormwater in BMPs such as permeable paver in vehicular drive areas to efficiently optimize the hospital’s available space.
