TERRA collaborated with the Park District of Forest Park and Williams Architects to transform a 2.5-acre property into a community recreation center in Forest Park, Illinois. The development includes a new recreation building with an indoor gymnasium, walking trails, landscaping, outdoor fitness stations, playgrounds, plazas, soccer field and space for a seasonal ice skating rink. Other improvements included reconfiguring Hannah Avenue to provide additional parking spaces and ADA access.

The property required environmental remediation for contaminated soil which was addressed by providing an engineered barrier below the new site improvements. A detailed earthwork analysis was performed to minimize earthwork haul-off, and this resulted in extensive site and landscape berms utilized in the grading design to achieve a balanced site. New utility connections were provided for the new building.
