As part of the City of Milwaukee’s ongoing infrastructure improvement efforts, the City will be reconstructing West Vliet Street, between North 12th Street and North 27th Street, in 2016. The project corridor is over one mile in length and abuts residential and commercial property. West Vliet Street is classified as a minor arterial, and was last resurfaced in 1987. The project is a Wisconsin Department of Transportation Local Program project, funded through the STP-M program.

The project requires compliance with WisDOT Administrative Rule Trans 75 (Complete Streets) guidelines, to provide for accommodations for pedestrians and bicyclists.

TERRA has been retained by the prime consultant to provide design, utility coordination and survey services.
