Ridgeland Common Renovation Project Breaks Ground
On March 9, 2013, TERRA Engineering participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the Park District of Oak Park’s Ridgeland Common Renovation Project. As part of the renovation TERRA designed a new synthetic turf field, dog park, and utility upgrades. On March 8, 2013, TERRA Engineering gathered in downtown Peoria, IL with notable officials including the U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood to break ground for the TIGER II Complete Streets and Washington Street Improvement Projects.
Jamil Bou-Saab wins Community Service Award
Terra’s Executive Vice President, Jamil Bou-Saab, was recently awarded the 2012 Community Service Award by the Park District of Oak Park. The Park District described Jamil as their “first, second, and third pair of eyes when planning and constructing park improvement projects.” Jamil and 5 other citizens were recognized at a ceremony on February 21, 2013.

City of Elmwood Receives $1.7 Million for Downtown Improvements

On January 30, 2013, IDOT announced that the City of Elmwood was the winner of an ITEP Grant for improvements to its downtown district after being damaged by a tornado in 2010. The City hired TERRA Engineering to design the streetscape improvements.
