TERRA is the civil engineer of record for all phases of the renovation project at the iconic Wrigley Field in Chicago. The project includes expansion and renovation of the ballpark, a new office building and basement west of the ballpark, full street reconstruction around the ballpark, and several adjacent parking areas and structures.

TERRA’s scope of work for the Wrigley Field Renovation project includes the following:

  • Coordination and engineering of removal and relocation of public and private utility infrastructure including water main, gas main, and electrical utilities
  • Providing a comprehensive stormwater management plan for the entire project to mitigate existing drainage issues and enhance protection of the new facilities from problematic flooding
  • Site grading and stormwater detention facilities including open bottom infiltration tanks and large diameter storm sewer
  • Engineering and design for significant roadway improvements in the right of way
  • Preparation and completion of permitting and construction documents for multiple phases within the project
  • Permitting civil engineering scope of work through multiple agencies including CDOT, CDWM, and the CDOB
  • Construction observation, coordination, and assistance to the contractor during the construction of all phases of the project
  • In addition, TERRA is utilizing the latest in BIM technology for civil engineering practice to assist in analyzing sewer hydraulics and conflicts with existing and proposed utilities. These assets as well as a committed, knowledgeable, and experienced civil engineering design team enhance the success of the new work at the iconic Wrigley Field.
