TERRA provided Northwestern University with an innovative and sustainable streetscape design for its 25-acre campus located in the heart of Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood. Northwestern’s Chicago campus houses the medical school and affiliated hospitals, the law school, the part-time MBA program, and the School of Professional Studies.

TERRA’s team analyzed existing conditions and provided recommendations and cost estimates for improvements that addressed accessibility issues, future utility improvements and to development of a unified and campus-wide streetscape identity for the University. TERRA was sensitive to the preservation of existing trees and relocation of the iconic McKinlock Gate, a feature located on the Chicago campus dating back to the 1920s.
